Made-to-measure storage blocks for cable drums

The contour is made to match the drum diameter. Load capacity up to 90 t (depending on design), resistant to weather, oils and acids – ideal when many drums of the same size are stored permanently. Item no. DD-HNT-Tübbing-Lagerung.

Wedging drums without timber

Timber wedges are often too low, rot in outdoor storage and get lost. Plastic wedges and storage blocks have defined dimensions, do not absorb water and keep their shape.

Frequently asked questions

How many wedges does a cable drum need?

That depends on drum weight, diameter, ground and slope. The wedges must secure the drum in both rolling directions – usually in front of and behind both flanges. Define the exact arrangement in your risk assessment; we are happy to advise.

Are made-to-measure storage blocks available?

Yes. Tell us the diameter, flange width and weight, and we will have matching blocks made.

Plastic instead of timber wedges – is it worth it?

For outdoor storage, yes: recycled plastic is weather-resistant, does not rot and keeps its dimensions.
